Very amused to see in the specifications that it has a "Depth sounder". Really? Wow, fantastic!

It's a beautiful beautiful thing, and I admire how very different it is, but I can't help looking at the bow on profile with those huge air scoops either side and wondering what would happen if you came off a big swell at speed and cut deeply into the next one, they'd be like high pressure salt water hoses into the engine bay surely?

Beautiful machine. I have had the pleasure of being on board (I put pics on here couple of years ago) and it is a wonderful toy

Ari there is lots of engineering to trap water taken in by the side scoops. The three main engines are gas turbine engines so they're ok if some water gets in, so long as some air gets in too. The secondary engines are a pair of Cat diesels, driving the same jets as the outer turbines through complicated gearboxes

I think they are absolutely stunning .. our colour-change lights are on at least one Wally and I've been lucky enough to ride on one see the 'electrics' and 'mechanics' on that one as well ... not just beautiful but amazingly put together.

jfm, the spec states things like radome and radar etc.... where are they? I guess all mounted with the roof??

Yup, mounted within the roof. Loads of things on the boat are hidden or flush. Passerelle folds to form the transom and a bathing platform, anchor is mounted underwater about 2m back from the stem

close up it's quite rough. Cabin joinery was done in a hurry, dashboard looks a bit 6th form project, but still a beautiful machine
