Wallas 1800B Heater

Does anyone know how to test and try out the Wallas 1800B Diesel heater. I have a Vega with this installed and dont know a thing about them. There is a control box inside the cabin but dont want to start anything until I know what I am doing. Any suggestions welcomed...
