Waeco Coolbox - Low/High Switch

On my coolbox there is a Low/High switch. Does anyone know what its purpose is?

I have changed it from Low to High, and there does not appear to be any difference in running or temperature. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I anyone has the instruction manual for the coolbox, a copy would be appreciated.

Coolmatic 70 - a few years old but working well.

Thanks Sarabande, looks as though it is the 12v low battery voltage cut-out switch.

Low cut-out at 10.4v, and High at 11.5v.

I'll keep it on High.

Putting into service
Switch on the coolbox by pressing the “on“ button or pushing the slide switch to “high” for operation at a starter battery or to “low” for the operation at a service battery. The LED beside the switch on button is a flashing light and flashes only if the battery power is insufficient for supply of the coolbox. If this is the case, check your battery."

Agree - that makes sense to prevent the cooler flattening the source battery.
