Did some work on the engine today.
Vp 2003 in a 1988 westerly seahawk.
I tried to fix the leaking water pump by rebedding the impeller cover but it didn't work.
It looks like it's leaking from the shaft so a rebuild is now on the job list.
The closest match, visually, I can find is this
Water Pump Overhaul kit (ANC2496) | Trickett Marine
I can't find the right part on Parts4engines. It previews in Google but shows as a missing page.
The fuel lift pump I ordered was a straight swop and looked good quality.
I'll call em next week.
I hate disturbing those push fit connections but I don't think I have any option.
Amybe I'll get a fresh set of washers.
Also, a quick read suggests getting bearings off/on the shaft can be tricky.
Do I need a puller?
Any other issues?
Thanks
