I'm trying to determine source of water leak. On the 2002, the impellor housing seems to be an extension of the larger water pump housing, connected by what I would call a collar with a slot in it. Although there is dried out salt deposition on the gasket join and the bottom nut is corroded on the main pump body suggesting previous leakage, the water drip seems to accumulate on the underside of the body of the impellor housing - the impellor and gasket was new in the spring. Would it be worth getting the pump serviced anyway? Can't see any drip when engine is running - it starts dripping when I stop it.
