Somewhere I have an article from thePBO about building the first Venus with the cast concrete keel…….it was trip planked .In the early1970s was aboard one built of foam sandwich in Falmouth built by the builders of the Cuttyhunk class

Yes, the one I know of is strip planked. He built it in Washington State, then sailed it down. Spends his summers there. One of a number who looked out for Paul as he declined.

Young couple sail a decked over Shetland boat from Scotland to the S. Seas.

This is the 70s so no GPS or much of anything. No engine, so decided to avoid Biscay etc and go straight to Madeira.

My copy arrived today. :)
Interesting little boat.
