Having noticed for the last few runs a small qty of engine coolant in the bilge I have been looking for a leak on one of my TAMD60C's but can't find one. I have also notice the water levels have not been dropping to account to for the obvious loss.
However this morning I have found the stbd has filled its header to the brim.
Am I right to assume this must be due to a small leak at the seawater / freshwater heat exchanger ?
If so if this likely to be a simple O ring seal problem, the rubber gaiters that support the insert, or (and I hope not) a b*gg*red insert.
Any help on this one would be appreciated.
Is there a test to check for seawater in the fresh circuit ? With the toxic glycol present on the fresh I am reluctant to do the old fashioned taste test.
