Does anyone have recent experience of what it costs to service a pair of Volvo Penta IPS650 engine and drives?

One of our readers has recently bought a boat with these engines fitted and is asking what to budget for a full service.

Any advice gratefully received.

It depends who is doing the work , if it’s a main dealer that would be a totally different price compared to one of the many independent companies like myself .

You’re right, sorry, IPS600 is actually £4,300 + vat, so £5,160. I wouldn’t imagine it to be much more for IPS650.

Yes. I’m getting additional work done, but adding up the service items that’s close to the service of engines & drives. I’m getting both drives pressure tested & genny done at same time. Doesn’t include lift either. Not cheap!
