Does anyone know what size prop is correct for volvo-penta aq205a carburetor, with dp290 outdrive

There is no set props size for just the engine and outdrive. It varies with what boat it’s driving. An example though, would be that I know my sealine 218 with the 205 and 290 had B5 props. They were perfectly matched.
so depends on boat really. They are all propped to get you in the rpm range of 4400-4800 for that engine.

Weekender is probably slightly lighter than the 218 - but props might be the same - as long as it hits that 4400-4800 at WOT with a clean bottom and loaded as you would choose to load it.

Likely the same B5s I’d think. Ontheplane above will be right about the weight too. But I’d imagine you won’t be far off with b5’s. Is there no props on it now ? Michigan marine do fairly good after market equivalents.

I'm not quite sure what size is on the boat, but the props on there now was used on my old engine 6.3 samarai diesel v8 so the props are a bit over sized for my 205

I ran 2 of those. 6.5 non turbo.....noisy thirsty bloody things. Parts are cheap though!

Not sure to be fair. The diesel will have a lower rpm range perhaps. Hard to compare.
