There is a spot on top of the flywheel housing that looks like its meant for a sensor? Maybe RPM? Its open and we have no matching piece that went into it. I don't have any other sensor that would show RPM on the unit. There is a "speed" sensor show in the parts diagrams on the timing gear case, but on our case that port is just solid, nothing could go there. Any ideas?

It’s for a flywheel speed sensor that’s fitted to the KAD 44/300 engine range .

Why would it be on my ad41 housing? The housing is stamped with a part number that matches the part number for my engine. That doesn't have that piece. Is it possible they just started making them with that piece or mounting spot? There is no spot for my controls to actually read the tach there. Should I just get a plug and close it up. I think it's just been left open in the past.

There should be a plastic plug in it .
