Volvo outdrive

I have fitted Montego Turbo Diesel engine to a Volvo 250d outdrive. Does anyone have any info on outdrive? Drive seems to be slipping, it is not the propeller, what kind of oil should i be using? Also, where could i find a propeller to fit with more pitch? Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try posting on the motor boat forum. As far as I know, the 250 drive is virtually the same as the 270 except that the 250 has straight cut gears and the 270 has spiral cut gears. From memory the 250 does not transmit as much power as the 270, but should be OK with your engine(s). Engine oil should be OK.

Engine Oil. Seloc do a good manual for not too much money -well worht the price.
