The boat I am intending to buy in Essex has a D6 in it and the port engine has it oil filter and Fuel filter on the port side, how easy would it be to switch both to starboard IE middle of the boat is there a kit to do that?

Thanks in advance

I doubt it's possible as the filters screw direct to the oil distribution housing , the 63 has a sandwich plate system attached where the filter screws on, it then feeds oil to a housing where the filter screws on , I know it was a very expensive extra on the earlier engines.

The 420 princess has 3 pieces of floor that lift up once the carpet is up and the corner removed from the stb settee so I can't see why you would want to fit a remote system , the Princess models of that era gave really good engine access.

Can you not screw on an adaptor in exactly the same way as a filter? I don't know about big engines, but that's what I have on my piddly yacht engine. It was about £75 on eBay, sold for motorsport types who squeeze engines into cars they weren't designed for and might not be able to reach the filter easily.

Maybe on mobo-sized engines you'd need something meant for lorries or heavy plant :)
