Hi,

Does anyone have a pdf copy of the Volvo D4-210 workshop manual they could kindly pm me?

Many thanks in anticipation!

Allan

You can buy one from RK but there in various sections, ie rebuild, electrical, fault finding, installation etc. Certain sections are related to fault finding which are useless unless you have the vodia tool to plug in.

Why do you want one?

Hi Paul,

I just want to see if the service manual gives any more detail for the routine servicing of the D4 than my Operator's Manual does.

Many thanks, Paul!

Just one other question........do you use the oil dip-stick tube to remove the oil using the small diameter flexible pipe from a vacuum pump?

Cheers, Allan

I'm sure Paul will reply but mine has a seperate tube leading right down to the botom of the sump externally, the top of the tube is located on the starboard side in the area of the crankcase filter with a brass plug in it and a hose clip securing the plug, at least on mine, I just connect the vacuum tube to that tube to remove the oil.

Sure is!! a great idea for oil extraction, one of the best points.

Many thanks to both David & Paul for your help.........what would we do without guys like you on this excellent forum!!

Has anybody else noticed the similar arrangement at the front for the coolant? It makes it easy to suck out with a big Pela without mess. Not sure if it is a good idea to use it to fill with as well as I reckon effectively pumping the coolant in at the bottom would help eliminate air locks?
