Our fresh water pump has developed a leak. It looks on the web as if you cannot replace the seal.Is this right? I cannot believe I have to buy a new £500pump!
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
The seals on the D1 30 are easy to take off and replace, suspect the D2 55 might be similar? first time I did it I did not have a spare seal but just a bit of cleaning of the rubber flange cured the leak, fragment of grit under the lip; it is a while ago but I recall having to note the dismantling sequence carefully.
One of the spares places, not Keypart, the other one? begins with an M? has good exploded diagrams of the D2 on their website, try googling Volvo Penta spares.
Here you are, go to Marine Parts Europe, select D2 55, select water pump, exploded diagram with part numbers.
