Hi
Years back I was on a friends yacht and he had an ancient auto pilot/helm system. It consisted of a yellow box fed by 12v with a couple of knobs. A rope ran around an internal pulley of the box and the around the yachts wheel.
Does anyone remember what these were called?
Many thanks

Yellow box suggests to me maybe a Seafarer Seacourse but I dont remember there being a wheel version, just a couple of tiller pilots ..

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
Sadly its not a Seafarer Seacourse. It was more like a sandwich box in size. As i remember you tied it down to the cockpit floor and ran the rope/cord up around the wheel.
