Under the Olympus Hotel, one road back from the marina is a super place,very cheap compared to the restaurants with marina view. Called Churrasqueira(?) but known locally as The Neanderthals. Due to size of steaks!
Its on the far left of the hotel complex, nearest to the Macdonalds Car Park!
Sounds bad but its great value and the proprietor is very eager to plaese. The steaks are out of this world-best I've had for a long time and as we raise our own beef here thats quite some recommendation!
Three courses for two,bottle of excellent local red,coffe and port-£18!No english spoken but sign language and pigeon portuguese work well
