Videos taken in and around your boat.

Proxy files really shouldn't be used, scaling the video makes it much harder to check focus.

True regarding checking the focus, but I'd say this is not a big issue for a hobbyist, such as myself, who seldom uses manual focusing. In any case, full-res preview is available with a single click of a mouse in Video Studio.

But I agree that for a serious film making there are more suitable alternatives.

Slightly Ot but can any of them modify colour / white balance on the fly? I have a few scuba vids and, as the divers will know, the deeper you go the more colour you start to loose :-(. I can correct stills in Photoshop but wouldn't mind paying for something that would do the same for video.

I checked the Corel Video Studio and it allows you to set the white balance manually and correct colors, etc. I would expect most of the editors allow you do this.

But you have all seen mucky Farter movies, I must have missed this thread or would have posted.

In the early days I would print out the titles on paper, then film them to video. Since we were stopped from posting proper music, I lost interest. If there is anyone not seen them yet. There is.

The Long and winding sea.

Nudes on the beach.

Mucky Goes To War.

Mucky Goes Ditch Crawling.

Mucky Goes To The Middle East.

The last part of The Long And Winding Sea has not been posted, because music became banned and I could not post it even after deleting the music.

The first part of the long and winding sea is here http://s70.photobucket.com/user/haydn_2006/media/THELONGNDWINDINGSEA.mp4.html If you want others just ask.

Just to add my earlier post to this thread as well.
-----------------------------
Finally got the boat back into the water at the beginning of May after some hassle with the council cutting of the road leading to the 'slip', but all worked out eventually and we got to enjoy the first weekend on the slightly chilly boat (eber was playing up, fixed now). I pieced the vid together from the first experiments using the dslr for vid and was using the unstabilized lens on some shots so please forgive the shake.

The second vid is a about a short cruise around the city on the following weekend.

Please expand to full screen and choose HD quality

So nice to get back to proper boating after a long winter. :)

Thanks.

Trying to keep the thread alive :)

Strangely enough our old boat, now well established in the hands of it's "new" owners of over a year. We see it on a regular basis.

Henry :)
