Has been on here before, but still worth a watch.

A mate claims to have surfed (in a yacht) into Fowey, which must have been somewhat similar.

Obviously not something I'd want to do in a yacht for which I had any responsibility.

Beyond my skill, I'd say (and also my boat has quite a small rudder).

I can understand the temptation to get into port but I think I'd rather stay well out and heave-to.

Yes, it was on earlier this year or last. I remember looking up the harbour on Google Earth.

Right. This is Svaneke harbour on the island of Bornholm in the Baltic. East coast, can get quite ugly in strong easterlies. This harbour is being closed off with a gate when it gets too rough.

Yes it has been on and prompted several comments. If I recall correctly several posts were critical of skip for the attempt, particularly the bit where he seems to go precariously close to a concrete fixture awash.
