That was quite the best 5 minutes of my week so far and cheered me up no end (half way through an absolutely pants week at work, heading out of the door now for the third of four straight nights working the place on my tod )

Good use of the Ken Burns technique.

Extra crew always welcome, there's a lot of rope on the Kipper!
Wonderful memories from this summer, an antidote to last year when we sat in Amsterdam with an engine that refused to start and I dislocated my knee falling off the boat. That persuaded us to stay local this year and we ended up discovering some special places. The children liked Heybridge Basin best because of the dinghy journey up to Tesco Met some super people along the way, especially Tillergirl who saved us when our water pump failed, ordering the part and fitting it for us.

Heybridge Basin is a favourite of my daughter. Only 9 when we first visited and she loves the place.

As there isn't a lot there apart from 2 pubs I wonder if I've been doing my parenting role properly..!

I used to make corporate videos and tv commercials for a living and I agree it's a slide show. But that doesn't mean it's not fun, a great reminder of the east coast and the little bit of summer we did get. I enjoyed it as a diversion from the fast approaching autumn weather.

Sailor Bill is entitled to his opinion of course, but making the effort to post a negative comment seems a little insensitive.

I see lots of women doting over infants in pushchairs but it's better to resist the temptation to go over and say 'Madam that is without doubt the ugliest child I have ever seen......' regardless of my personal opinion.

Yep, agree that was a nice way to spend a few dreary minutes whilst in the office.
Just shows you don't need to travel miles to get great experiences.
