a few years ago we went all along the coast, stopping where it was possible. Forgot the exact order but anyway:
Asilah (just past Cap Spartel), very basic port,, turn to stb past the entrance and moor alongside some of the coral boats; the village is very beautiful.
Kenitra and Mehdia we could not enter, at the time they were silted
Rabat/Salé marina is to Western standards (Marjane sp? supermarket), beware the guy that comes to guide you inside with the rib knows where the deeper channel is, but has no idea of the actual depth, we surfed down the entrance reading 2.1m at the sounder with 2m draft, we (lightly) touched bottom while following him to get out.
El Jadida, fishing port with 3m hammer sharks, giant turtles, tunas, etc on the quays as fishermen come back, blood everywhere. Only mooring was a 5m concrete quay, we were 12m so had to practice springing.
Safi: big port, all weather, enter at low water andconcrete tetrapodes look down at you from the heights.
Jorf Lasfar, phosphate industrial port, maybe lost 1/4 of a lung there.
Casablanca was/is forbidden to visitors, Mohammedia a few miles south, all weather entrance, a couple of pontoons and very nice manager (he will give you access to the Club facilities, swimming pool etc just a walk away)
Essaouira very very nice historical town, but a lot of tourists; wind speed often topping 30kt
Agadir again modern marina much like Rabat, we were there during Ramadan so very quiet.

Should you want to go, I'd buy asap some cheap local polypropilene mooring ropes to be thrown away as you leave (except if you like your octoplait to smell fish for months afterwards). Not the easiest coast (swell danger, fishing buoys, unlit fishing boats, etc), but we really liked it.

If you are looking on the Atlantic coast on the way down then Rabat has a good modern marina and plenty of local shops with fresh local food and French staples but also has a number of Carrefour supermarkets including a very big one which is close to a tram stop - and the tram runs from the marina.

Placenames have changed since I was in a motor yacht cruising that coast but Port Lauyerty(spelling?) and Fedala ( now mahomadia) were very pleasant ports to spend week or two whilst the skipper /owner went shooting near Marrakesh, and Casablanca and Agadir also were very pleasant stays( an earthquake at the latter years after.} Trolling for fish was great and many large grey Mullet in adadir port. Happy days!!!

Agadir also has the British -Morroccan Sprts Bar, an ideal spot for football fans to watch their favourite team on screen. Booze is a tad pricey though.
