Any one used or got any views on these...

My Mastervolt had died and am looking for a replacement..these are half the price and seem to get good reviews on the "green grid" forums...wondered if anyone had experience of using them onboard...

Tx

I have two Victron 1600w/24v inverters on my boat, running in parallel (do not try this with other inverters) They are without doubt the best bit of heavy electroniucs I have bought. Well made reliable and good backup. Havent had a minutes trouble with them in four years of liveaboard and they have been working, over the summer non stop for at least six months. They run my domestic fridges and all my mains gear when away for shorepower. Cant praise them enough. They also run my watermaker, when motoring.
I have had Sterling (3 off them) Studer x1 and one other cheapie.

My last but one boat had a 2000W/50A Victron 24V combined inverter/charger. 100% reliable and it had been fitted as original equipment on the boat which was 10years old when I bought it. Although rated at 2000W continuous, it would supply up to 3000W as a surge demand ie as with some equipment on start-up. I would certainly have one again.
