Whilst it looks very useful, its rather larger and clunkier than I expected.. If I were staying on land, I'd definitely use it, but I'm not sure whether I can afford to give it ship room as a tool I want to take with me.
You can never have a vice or clamp that opens too far! (well within reason anyway). At various times I have used mine to hold my boom, spinnaker pole, alternator, prop shaft, stern ladder, myriad pieces of wood, anchor, windlass motor and gearbox, not to mention smaller items like bolts, rope and metal rod for cutting. I would keep it if you can possibly find the space. I don't carry all the ancillary bits, just the basic vice and soft jaws. An incredibly useful bit of kit.
