VHF recommendations

Hi all

I want to upgrade my VHF to DSC. I also want an additional microphone in the cockpit.

Recommendations please

Is that all? No inbuilt AIS transponder, GPS, Bluetooth, foghorn, intercom, back-scratcher? Any recommendation - I rate the SH GX2100 very highly - is likely to be a purchaser justifying and reinforcing his own choice.

We have a SH GX2000 and very pleased with it after 18 months of use - good controls, good AIS integration and the DSC side is pretty good as well.

+1 for Standard Horizon GX2nnn series.

Icom M423 with command mike. They now do a unit that just has the command mike and the command mike in both units unplugs. Not cheap though ........

I have been using a Standard Horizon set with remote command mic for several years and cannot speak highly enough for the kit and the quality of customer service.

I've been using one of these for a couple of years and am happy with it. It includes an AIS receiver.

+1 or the RO4800 and highly recommend Force Four if you want good support.
