VHF from the US

Does anyone have experienc using VHF sets from the US in this country. I understand US sets might not have all of the channels and charging might be troublesome. Prices are attractive though......

To summarise, if it's not CE marked it's illegal here. If it's an SC-101 model, it is not compliant with Class D specifications required here, but will work anyway. If it's Class D or higher spec, is CE marked, and has international channel mode, you won't have any problems

charging is not too much of a problem, look at the specs for the output of the transformer, and buy an equivalent 220/240v transformer for very little money from a good electrical supplier

BrendanS is right + if the set goes wrong you have to send it back to the war factory over the "gosport" side of the pond.
