I'm fitting a bow thruster and have really narrowed the choice down to a Vetus or a Volvo. Has anybody got any thoughts/comments/preferences/good or bad experiences. All post would be appreciated. Too many decisions to be made at this time of year.....

Thanks in advance.

May I suggest that you open up your search again and look at the Sidepower range by Sleipner - not well known as a second fit (I understand that Vetus has the majority here), however, they are fitted by a lot of manufacturers to new boats during build. I investigated thrusters thoroughly before purchase, and IMHO they are the best.
I would also recommend <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.jpcdirect.co.uk/sp_elec.htm>JPC Direct</A> - I got a good deal, and good service.

I have a Sleipner bow thruster from the Sidepower range. It is easy to operate and works very effectively. Their service is also excellent.
