Vetus Portlights? Opinions?

Morning all,

Just wondering if anyone has used Vetus portlights as either original equipment or replacements? Looking to replace about 8 in total, so the savings using Vetus over Lewmar are significant!

We had two as orginal equipment on a catamaran. They were in the main bulkhead looking into the cockpit. They were installed when the boat was built in 1981 and still going strong five years ago when we sold the boat

I fitted 5 to my saloon 2 years ago, I'm just about to replace the rubber seal on one which has the most sun exposure, when in the marina, as it seems to have perished a little and has started to leak.

Two year lifespan before perished rubber seals sound like a rather short life although perhaps you are somewhere hotter than the uk?
