I’ve got a lot of these things: Vetus GWDS24 Grey water discharge system.

They are not good. 7 are installed around the boat. £800 a pop and there is a graveyard of spares under the ex-skipper’s berth, so there is a long history of problems. I’ve got one DoA and one in the pre-operation room that only springs to life when given a kick. From the evidence it is a priority to fix these troublesome, overpriced units. The main problem seems to be the water level switch sticking, either on or off. When they work well they are really great, pumping out instantly and quietly and to leave a dry tank but reliability eclipses all that and is really all I’m interested in.
I did think about changing the switches for a Rule float or similar, but I know they are not reliable either.
So, has anyone got a fix?
