Hi all,
My Broom has a pair of VDO Tachometers with analog hourmeters. They are not the digital LCD screens that regularly fail.
They hourmeters on both have stopped working. Someone mentioned that the plastic gears can sometimes fail.
Has anyone repaired one of these?
Any advice or links to information would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

On closer inspection it looks like I’m missing a gear wheel between the worm gear and the white gear cog.

Thanks for your replies.
Bran, that’s a very tidy job. I’m going to try to repair the mechanical hourmeters if possible.

I had previously been in touch with this company and this gear looks like it might be the one I need. There was nothing left of the old gear so I’ll open the second gauge to see if there’s anything left.

The hour meter works on my Broom with either engine running, just the one hour meter shared by both engines.

It's the speed log that is not working, the cable drive spins up the gauge but the sender under the keel does not move, was having a look at it today.
