A quick question:

If you buy a boat Exc VAT because you are are leaving the EU to circumnavigate, can it still be british registered.

I'd like to 'fly the flag' in some distant corner of the world!

Red Duster flying

If you are Pt III blue book or Pt I SSR then you are entitled to wear the flag otherwise you are anonymous .... It's all the same as if you are a qualified and a licensed SSB person.

It\'s probably me ... but

....I'm confused. I thought part III of the Register of British Ships is the SSR - Small Ships Register.

... and what is an 'SSB' person - do you mean someone with a Long Range Certificate. Can I fly a special flag then?

... yes I'm really confused
