Variprop Anodes

Hi,
Does anyone know of a source of anodes to fit the variprop 3 blade variable feathering as pic?

East coast (UK) area? Also a UK contact for Variprop would help......

I have always had great service from Paul Bell of 1st Marine Propulsion 023 80 222032.

No connection.

I personally think Variprop is better than other feathering props as pitch is adjustable from outside the assembly.

Dunno about source but I see its the same shape as the Autoprop anode ie designed to fall off due to thin landings for the setscrews ,while most of the anode is still intact....rant done

I too would be keen on finding an alternative source for anodes for a Vetus thruster and an Autoprop, as the genuine ones are rather steep.

I have lost Anodes on Volvo folding prop and the saildrive anode for that reason but never so far on a Variprop as the Anode has a recess so set screws just hold it against the lip.

Cured losing Volvo saildrive anodes by buying countersunk Allen screws. Had to shorten them slightly but with allen head managed to tighten them up enough to overcome the slight wasting around the fixing screw position.

Autoprop Anodes

Put a little paint (antifoul does fine) round the screw holes. Also use a shaft anode. I get about 3 years out of an boss anode

Anode is almost completely gone, one third of its circumferance is missing completely and as a result one of the allen bolts has fallen out, the rest is still held on tight with the remaining two. .....................
