I am after a piece of vaneer to replace a water dameged bit, any suggestions?

I did try Mustang but they are after 750 A$ for one bit, good customer care.

Tom there are lots of online veneer supply specialists, easily googlable. Otherwise a local bespoke furniture or kitchen maker should have some as they frequently do their own veneering theses days (vacuum bag)
