Valencia F1 Grand Prix

Don't worry James, apparently Nicolas said ever since Jenny Wren left the marina the bandwidth has improved exponentially..... Pure coincidence of course.

Well done Mike, a fun post and informative as usual, safe journey home to you all.

What a great race, some very unfortunate events indeed! I thought there would be a lot of collisions but didn't expect so many mech/elec failures in the final stages. Amazing that Alonso is now on top, Ferrari, let's hope they don't get their car sorted in time for Silverstone! As for Hamilton, I don't know if I admire his competitive/aggressive driving style or not, I like it when he does well!

What a season!

Fantastic race,
I was wondering if the Union jack guys were on here.Considering how close you got to see and experiance it all in comfort, £2k isnt bad.

Great thread combining boats and F1.....doesn't get any better!! Looks as though you had a great time.....thanks for posting.

Well that was certainly an eventful race! Who said Valencia is boring??

Good result :D

Saw JW a fair few times, she was looking stunning (coming from a raggie ;) ).

I bet you had a good time, the cost is certainly not a concern for what will have been a fantastic weekend and a great memory.

First time I have watched a full F1 race for longtime throughly enjoyed it especially seeing JW quite A few times.
Something I feel you will all look back on for many many years to come.
Enjoy your trip back up the the coast
Looking forward to seeing all the pictures when you get back
Tim

Completely agree. I have been to many F1 races but have never done what JW has just done. A great thread, thankyou for sharing your excitement.

Fascinating race. More overtakes than MotoGP!!!

Plenty of sightings of JW, but stuck to coffee, I'm afraid. I'm such a lightweight.

Been back in SC for a couple of days now.
Kids have been playing with all the toys in the lagoon.
Kids have gone home now and we've spent all day cleaning.
You wouldn't believe how much dust was on the boat.
As of tonight, JW is clean and back to normal.

We have some great photos (14GB in fact!!!)
I'll post some more pics when I get home this weekend if anyone is interested.

and not only great memories for JW's owner and SWMBO, but also an unforgettable one for the family. Bragging rights back in the Uk will be worth every penny!

Thanks for the thread.

Mike
only just caught up with forum. Fantastic thread, thanks, and what a fabulous way to spend a boating weekend. What a great business F1 is; they should IPO it. Still chuckling at the 14Gb too
Best wishes

What about a forum meet at Interlagos in November? No quayside to moor at but I'm sure we can put up with that for a day.

Done that three times and I have a T shirt, but actually it is one of the best GP's to attend because due to the elevation changes you can see most of the track.

Could you please put up some pics of the GP? Just so we can get a bit of a feel what it was like. Thanks.
