V.H.F. anomalies

Coming back from Herm to Jersey today I could hear Brixham radio, Portland radio, St. Peter Port radio, Cherbourg radio, and occasionally Jersey radio, and also a taxi company in central London, trying to get a lazy cab driver to pick up from an address in Chelsea!
If I had needed assistance I'd probably have been better off calling a cab!

I pick up Brixham all the time I dont know how high their antenna is but it must be blimmin big, I should have been in herm but had to lay a floor instead :-(

Great innit! You can get Brixham coastguard in Jersey, but not in Salcombe harbour!
