I remember lusting after one when I bought our HR 20yr ago. I think it was quite expensive, maybe £400 at the time. I can't see it in the current accessories list, but they don't seem to have a search facility.

My Garmin instruments include a rolling barograph display, perhaps your instruments have a similar function? You don't really need a paper printout.

No, but at Benfleet Yacht Club they have (or had) the trace from the 1987 hurricane framed and displayed near the instrument.

I built one using the same sensor into an arduino and LCD display.
Note to self must finish all my arduino projects I have half built.

Looks like the dogs doodahs. Shame that the mechanism isn't on view. I started a thread recently about pocket barometers and I've just bought one. Another thing of beauty, very well engineered. All I need is a sheet of graph paper to replicate the barograph
I just don't get excited by a printed circuit board.

About 10.30am usually is the biggest one. Amazing what accurate sensors you can get for a few quid on ebay these days

Many years ago, Scientific American had an article telling readers how to make a sensitive pressure sensor, with the view to detecting tsunamis or maybe something seismic. It was quite a large object, a couple of feet across if I remember. You could test it by raising it a metre off the table, when the change should have been detectable. I wonder how these little sensors compare.

The dip just before 16.31 is me lifting the sensor just over half a metre.
Same cheap little chip has humidity & temperature, though the temperature either needs calibrating or the board heats up above ambient a bit. Interesting watching humidity go down after it gets a bit chilly and the fan heater goes on

I should have emphasised that it’s important to get a marine one if you are putting on your boat as they are specifically damped. Guess why I know and we’ve ended up with two?

Certainly more beautiful than my plastic based-and-cased "Moco-GRAPH" one. Even though it has a bit of brass showing. Since it is driven by a synchronous mains electric motor it is emphatically not marine!

It's an older model Wempe Maritim barograph. You can still get paper roll models similar to this one: Wempe Maritim Onlineshop
My solution was my easy to build nanobaro, but now I'm simply using an app as my phone has a pressure sensor built in anyways.
