Send us some pic's of the sunshine you've got. It's bl*ody snowing here, and very cold. We need to huddle together in front of the computer to get warm!
I dunno whats happened to the Rum Pirate - I guess he is probably holed up in his favourite beach bar in St Kitts drinking Mount Gay Extra Old.
Would a few photos from Barbados and the Grenadines substitute instead?
I'll start off with a rather tatty chart, so you can get your bearings.....
The next two are the beach at the Boatyard Bar on Carlisle Bay, on the south west corner; it did actually used to be a boatyard up until about 35 years ago, and there was no beach there at all - the sea came right up to the wall (which is still further inland, not visible in the photos), and they had a wee slipway with a couple of carriages on rails.
But then the beach started building up, and I think the owners realised that there was more money / less effort involved in selling rum.... and they never looked back.
Here are some visiting yachts anchored in Carlisle Bay. I think the one on the left might be a Victoria 38 (?), and then there is a Voyager 35 (deck saloon version of the Warrior 35) and a Nicholson 38.
Here is a typical beach scene on the east coast - very different from the over developed west coast full of condos..... me and the dogs went for a potter along here this evening.
This is an iconic view of the Tobago Cays in the Grenadines, with Petiti Tobac in the background - and yes, the water is vodka clear....
Here is a typical party boat, 'Reef Princess' with passengers pottering along the west coast - I doubt that she would be allowed to carry this number of passengers in more northern latitudes......
And finally, a sunset at Six Mens, by Port St Charles - our boat is the saily yacht moored on the left in the far distance.
