When uploading a picture how do you ensure that the image will be much larger than just a thumbnail one?

What method are you using.
As an attachment? ... Follow the FAQs to upload a picture of the size you want then attach it as a thumbnail which is clickable to reveal the full sized version in a new tab
using photobucket? ... Upload the size of pic you want ( resize it as you go using the old P'bucket site) or upload and resize.
Copy the IMG code into your post so that you display the full size picture or the thumbnail code for a clickable thumbnail
or what?
