I have been advised to apply a fire retardant / fireproof spray to my new upholstery.Has anyone done this and which product to use?

EDIT

I've just read the small print. To my astonishment, caravan upholstery must be fire safe, but boats are excluded. Sorry :(

I was just about to reply (before you edited) to say I don't think that applies to boats. It's basically only domestic furnishing.

Sorry it's no help to you at all, but it's hard to believe a upholstery manufacurer would make special non fire safe material for boats when all domestic and caravan furniture require it by law.

I had to do this last year as we were going through coding - even though the boat had been coded before, it had lapsed and the previous owner had lost the cert for the upholstery.
The surveyor recommended this:

We have applied it but not set fire to anything to check its effectiveness as I know the ruddy covers were fire retardant to start with.
