I used a contact of mine who is Whitehouse area of Ipswich. Very good product. She did my Fairline, and that was a lot of windows and portholes!

SLC marine did my upholstery and made a very good job of it at a competitive price. They came and measured, made templates and returned with the finished upholstery. My boat is in Shotley, you're welcome to come and see what they did.

If you walk from Woodbridge to Melton on the river path, you come to a dock area called Melton Boat Club (or something similar.
There are containers on the shore side and one of those is an upholstery place. Saw it once but not been able to find any reference to it or anything else about it. Which all suggests it might be v.cheap !

Last week, I took delivery of my new upholstery for the saloon, chart table seat and a cover to go over my hanging locker.
I used 'Marine Upholstery By Val', based in Clacton but will travel to most east coast marinas I believe.
I was very impressed with the information, advice and communication prior to order being placed and am absolutely thrilled with the appearance, comfort and standard of craftsmanship now that the items have arrived. The cost was very reasonable indeed and I'll be sure to use Val for any future upholstery work. She is able to do boats, campers and probably everything in between!

Only just noticed this. Not sure what's happened at SLC then, as that's where Val worked (self employed). When i had my new upholstery made earlier this year it was Val who did the work, on behalf of SLC. She took all of the final measurements and templates and made a first class job.
Again, no connection, just someone who is very pleased with her work.

I think reading Val's home page makes it fairly clear what happened, Val has seized the opportunity to go into business in her own right. Don't know her from Eve, but hrt work seems well respected on here. I can only wish her all the best in her brave new venture.
