Unrealistic Boat Buyers?

I'm looking for a Hunter 19/Europa. Fin. fast, stable, good reputation, cheap to moor (by the metre), good residuals (lost all their value now and sell on condition alone).
I know of a super one which I may be viewing this week. Unfortunately out of the water now.
Any more in my area?

Glad you eventually found a genuine buyer. The europas/Hunter 19s have a good reputation for speed and seaworthiness. i think they were designed by Oliver Lee .

If I remember correctly the Europa has slightly higher freeboard and better interior than the 19? Some 19s did ocean passages back in the 70s.

This is worth a read if you havent allready seen ithttp://www.hunterboats.no/historie.htm

I've noticed that some are less generous with freeboard, that explains the difference. My wife prefers to be "further from the water".

Someone Darn Sarf is advertising one he claims to have raced with Oliver Lee, the designer, although that doesn't guarantee it's a good boat, just that it's been under stress.

I am going today to look at one in Durham, which is usually on Ullswater, (drat!). I haven't seen it yet but am assured by people who know the boat and owner that it is spot on.
