The latter, as a kid I always wanted to drive boats or trains. Now my sister has sold her house to pay to get her pilots licence she has kind of made me think 'do I enjoy doing what I do?' So I thought sod it...... I want to skipper large POWER boats for a living. I was hoping some guys on this forum may be owner non drivers who might be able to spread a bit more light on the situation. I have a fair few nm in my log not to mention the non logged nm's so I think I and near enough capable of doing the job, but what I think is not good enough so need a qualification to get me on the ladder. Ideally I would like a job as a skipper NOW with them paying me to do the course (dream on) and then me continuing to skipper at a slightly reduced rate. (to pay for course)
I want to work either in the Med or the Carib, however I know SOUTHERN uk waters very well so think it might be a good bet to start.
