UK's Cheapest Mooring ?

The Tamar is also in an SSi area....

maybe soon a World Heritage Site (same as the Pyramids).

It's a beautiful river. Every time I bring 'The Cause' back home, I think how lucky I am to keep her here (although she loves the Irish Sea, the Hebrides and the South East Coast, too).

But, yes, I do not swim here!

Re: Fosdyke the wash

You want cheap well here it is .Walk way moorings
£2.00 a year to register your boat ,that's it .
There are about 6 reasonable moorings up for grabs.
One draw back is bridge head room, but last night we got through by lowering our aerial's .The tide last night was 8.2 mt we got through about an hour before high water.
The river has navigation lights, right from the Wash to the bridge.
Bring your own ropes / chains !! to moor up
At low water the water is about 3ft deep so you dont dry out ,oh and mainly sand so no mud .
A slip way is there as well with no charges attached to use apart from your boat must be registered.
The wash is actually a fantastic unspoiled area ,perfect for sailing because there's hardly any traffic .
Wild life in abundance .
Long sand banks make ideal racing circuits for raggies and its but a short sail to Hunstanton.
Why do people pay stupid amounts of money for moorings and then suffer poor sailing or motoring because to much traffic about .
