UK ship hits bridge

Yesterday evening Karla C of Cowes rammed a combined car & train bridge in Denmark. 'Stuck propeller' told to be reason (whatever that means - reporter as usual no idea)

Bridge being part of the Denmark-Germany train network all trains are cancelled and passengers transferred by buss, until investigations and repairs have been made.

Damages seem minor (hole in freshwater tank) but as huge forces are in play, the accident has pushed the rails on the bridge out of place.

The rumour is that the Captain's wife was driving at the time. Still I expect the damage will polish out

As far as I'm aware nobody actually got it on camera. Was pitch dark..

The reported 'stuck propeller' could mean anything. Not a wide opening for a 300' ship in windy conditions..
