Re: Cracked it

Be nice if it had a mast and some wire stuff to hold the cotton stuff in place

CG - we are looking seriously at buying a F36 w/Cummins 330s. One question I have is does the F36 have plastic or aluminium fuel tanks? I couldn't see from the cursory exam we made. Anything you really don't like about the boat? Your comments wld be appreciated.

Tanks : probably depends on the year I believe they started fitting plastic but soon stopped, mines a 1999 and they are steel. I recently emailed Sealine to ask a question and got a prompt response from their Naval Architect called Ian Godbold email him at igodbold@sealine.com

He will probably tell you what years involved plastic tanks. He will also be able to give you ideas of spedd from the 330's . mine will do 28knts with Volvo 230's so itshould be pretty fast. My question to him was about the hull, its a deep V
44 deg at bow to 20 deg at transome, props in semi tunnels.

If you missed my tale of the collection trip from Menorca to Costa Del Sol, (550nm)only a week ago, the thread was called "Helo I back" sorry about that it was an in joke, then click back a couple of pages

In that report you will see I was very pleased with the sea keeping in some pretty big stuff on the nose en route to Ibiza. Also DavidJ is worth a PM cos hes had an S37 for some time, (same hull etc) Good luck CGN

Many thanks CGN

Yes, I had read your account of your 529nm trip and that's why I asked for your opinion. I'm also trying to get a boat test report from MBM. Tks for the Sealine contact.
