Does anyone know the whereabouts of "trouville"?

Sadly, he was banned from the YBW forums in 2009 and then he frequented the Blue Moment forums but his last posting on there was about a year ago.

Has anyone any knowledge of him, his email address or his whereabouts?

PM me privately if necessary. :)

Hello Mark

Tee-hee, if he came back now, all the IPC Admin staff are new and perhaps they wouldn't recognize him? :D

The last known location was in late July 2009 up the River Rhone at Beaucaire in the south of France.

Not sure if Stella was still with him or whether he has a new 'girl-friend'? ;)

verbal over-enthusiasm. I believe he is ex-services. I had long emails with him about packet switched radio and Landrovers.

An intuitive writer and cook, along the lines of the much missed Keith Floyd.

He was in La Rochelle for a bit, probably there are a couple of people there who knew him (Michael?) Outed as a brit, with a good line in Franglaise. I missed the stuff that got him banned, but enjoyed what I did read.

I must be in the minority. His style of writing annoyed me to the point that I'd have to skip any comment he made. Very few people do that to me, but he did.

Not necessarily, but it takes all sorts to make the world go round. He might not of been your cup of tea, and yes he was off the wall. I didn't always agree but it brought lively debate.

I miss some of the old forum characters,(moved on, passed on, or p***ed off)!
There was/are interesting topics to be followed but I feel that people have gone overboard at being PC and trying to be up their own.
Where has all the plucky, punchy people gone,(yourself included) and also the down right sarcasm? Oops sorry, sarcasm, it's not PC is it? . . . . . . . . . lowest form of wit and all that!

Maybe folks can't afford sarcasm in a recession.
;)
But back to Trouville, I didn't even find him off the wall, just absolutely utterly irritating to read, and if he was indeed a Brit, channeling being French, then really, what was the point? He did it so badly.
Bah humbug.

I am afraid that I agree with you.
