28th June to 3rd July 2005, the Solent will reverberate with sea borne festivities to commerate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, including a fleet review of ships from over 35 nations. Does the panel think that, in line with the wishes of the politically correct aparatchniks, we should take this opportunity to apologise to the French and Spanish for breaking their boats? Perhaps we should pay them financial compensation with 200 years worth of compound interest! It will no doubt improve harmony within the EU!!
Still, at least there will be red, white and blue ensigns in the English fleet at the re-enactment planned for the weekend. It will be good to see us united in a common cause!!!!

Couldn't we just charter a load of boats from ******* and join in in the re-enactment you mention? Although it might keep Solent Coastguard and the rescue helicopter a bit busy.

Au Contraire

Why not mobilise the fleet, blockade Brest, send General Anthony Palmer with the army to mop up Spain and, instead of tamely giving the countries back to their rightful owners, move on to conquor the whole of Euope and establish the first state of Euope under British rule.Rule Britannia Brit... get off doctor - no not the white coat... AHHHH!
