Have an inspection of possible sailing cruiser on Monday and first on the list to check will be access to fuel tank and if it’s humanly possible to remove and clean, secondly access to filters and water cooling pump….in relation to not being Houdini.

I know the boat has been in the same ownership for fifteen years and on the arch over the stearn it looks like a Russian spy ship with Ariel’s,solar panels, radar wind generator which I am sure with the explanation of the wire ing will leave me totally confused

Checking visually shroud fixings and signs of rust streaks will be all I can do as It will have to be assumed under water all is ok. A search of Google has not thrown up any nasty reports or any detailed construction details so it’s all in the lap of the gods?

well we saw the boat and inspected it although the owner admitted to starting the engine before we arrived it sounded ok but the boat stank of diesel and was quite dirty inside.Access to the engine was in my opinion bad and the toilet flushed with electric motor.Lots of gismos and switches etc etc.It was basically built round the current owner who was a self taught electrician ,plumber etc.So I said not interested, but we had a pleasant hour talking and went our way.

You could try a Wanted notice in the ads ?
Ya never know
I maintain that the best ‘deals’ happen quietly where owner wants a nice new custodian , buyer wants to buy from a safe known reputable club member, that sort of thing..
But ya gotta put the word out
Best luck ,
Oh and ask Santa ? of course ??
