Yup it sounds like the usual dreary Christmas for me. A house full of unwanted relatives who won't leave, 27 pairs of socks for presents (I'm not joking there) and nothing to look forward to on TV except Top Gear

Well Mike, looks like it's something for the Christmas list!

Furthermore we can bore everyone by saying "did I mention, I know the bloke who owns it"!

Pete

I just had a look at the youtube trailer, and noticed the beautiful spot below at the end of the video.
Can anyone who saw the full video confirm me the route they followed?
I would swear it's somewhere along an Italian lake, probably Garda, but can't tell for sure...
...Hence the question.
Thanks in advance!

Yup just told the SWMBO!

MapisM, it's garda. I've watched the whole movie and it is worth buying just for the beautiful photography around Lake Garda. Director Phil Churchward, very nice bloke, and the team, did a fab job

I haven't been able to grab any screenshots off the iTunes download version of the movie

£15.99, more to the point you can't share it around devices.

I just paid 16,75 + pp for the bluray with an Ultra Violet code for streaming the same content to diff devices. Never tried UV before but suppose i'm going to now. Seems a bit of a hassle though.

SWMBO won't let me watch TG if she's in the house. If she found out I actually paid for an episode she'd go ape sh*t. Probably have to wait till it gets shown on Dave :(

Is it to much of a bad influence on you ?!!
Do you get all giddy and jump about ? !!!!
Lol !!

Yep, along Garda Lake there are indeed some stunning roads.
Particularly along its western side, whose "Gardesana" road has been used for various movies, of 007 fame among others.
Coming to think of it, the above spot surely is somewhere in that area, of which the pic below gives a better idea.

Though I would highly resommend, rather than buying the DVD (sorry BBC, but I must mention it :)), a trip to see the real thing.
Particularly for bikers, or convertible owners...

Me & SWMBO did that on a scooter a couple of years back, crossed the lake on a Vaporetti & rode back to the hotel. We got soaked in a thunderstorm . . . :D

Well, we do have rain also down here at times. Nobody's perfect, you know...
Hope you enjoyed your trip, thunderstorm aside! :)

Got 'Dave' on in the background this morning while wandering round the house, just caught the the advert for the new DVD, and Match 2 is slap bang in the middle of it, looking very very nice :D

Great heli shot, not convinced it was taken from a Quadcopter ;)

Anyone else notice the +1,000nm on the Garmin… come on jfm you have been doing a lot of miles, must be time for some sort of report?? :o
Haha yes you're right, I have hundreds of pics and video, and some time lapse video, which all needs sorting out an making into a couple of posts. I will try to do this soon. Steve Dunstable is on my case as well...!

The whole movie is now on YouTube in HD. Just put " top gear perfect road trip" into the youtube search box and you'll see a full length 1hr 20+ minutes movie right at the top
