Haha, you like that pic (strangely compressed in the vertical sense??) because it shows your kahlenbergs. They have been the hit of the summer btw - much loud tooting at end of firework displays and the Cannes Boat Show. They have also been used a few times in proper navigation. If I were doing another boat right now these would definitely be on my kit list.
The headrests thing was just a free choice Toby. The seat-maker can just as easily make the seats with a cushioned headrest or with the s/s hoops. I much prefer the latter only because they serve as valuable grab handles at sea and I have no use for a cushion because I find I don't lean back and rest my head on the headrest when driving on the flybridge. Obviously whiplash risk isn't a factor, unlike in a car
I had same on my last 2 boats and am mind-made-up that this is the best answer for me. They are such good grab handles
I have cushioned headrests downstairs, in contrast, because I have no use of a grab handle there and do lean back and half snooze on long passages. These are special chairs, not the standard Sq78 chairs
