Is on right now ........ there is the most beautiful Morgan on there. Aero8 GTM. VERY fast 0-60 4.3 secs. Todays technical engineering, but with 50s design, running boards, wheel arches etc. Just gorgeous.

Re: You\'re back!!??

The crossing was boringly shite but the islands were beautiful. Those I'd love to return to are Antigua, Barbados and Grenada. I've had a tattoo done and my hair beaded /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Downside ........... no shoe shops worth a look. Upside......... fab watches !!!!

Re: You\'re back!!??

Chris, the hurricane damage is awful but everyone is still happy and smiling. They are much happier now the liners are back bringing in much needed money.

Incidently, anyone else think it out of keeping that Morgan, the most staunchly "British" car company, keeper of the old school, patriots to the last, uses German BMW engines?

Nothing at all wrong with the engines, but to me doesn't sit well with what Morgan try to be...

I would if I could, I think it is almost knocking my all time AC cobra want to the side.

I think it looks stunning, reminded me of the panoz they raced at le mans a few years back.

I like cars that buck the trend and this one certainly does.

Not really - Morgan have always used whatever engines they could get their hands on, predominantly Ford. It's certainly not the first German engine they've used - the Rover V8 after all was originally a BMW unit! Most people seem to think it was a Buick design, but when the engineers at Buick were told to design a small block all aluminium V8 they had no idea how to as there were no American Ally V8's so they took the V8 out of the BMW 507 and largely based their design on it.
