You haven't touched a nerve but I'm trrying to explain why we have rules and what we try and do. And I wouldn't put it past someone taking the sign and us not noticing

I suspect I can guess who you dealt with if this was a couple of years ago and if I'm right that person is no longer with us. I didn't know anybody when I moved to this island but I met a member of the Club and asked him if he would propose me and it all went ok from there. The usual thing that gets suggested to callers is that they speak to the Club Hon Secretary who is there more days than not and attempts are made to introduce them to a member who can then take it further.
